There’s something about shooting in someone’s home that just hits different. No styled sets, no perfect backdrops – just real life and two people on the edge of something huge. This Hawkesbury maternity photoshoot for Paris and Luke was everything I hoped for – with warm, homely vibes throughout.
Paris and Luke invited me into their home in the Hawkesbury while they were still in that in-between – waiting, nesting and getting ready to meet their little one. At the time we just knew their was a baby on the way. They later named her Wren, which honestly suits the whole vibe of this shoot perfectly. Their home had this quiet, lived in warmth to it. Nothing was overdone. It was cosy and calm and felt like them – which is exactly what you want when your trying to document a moment like this.
I shared a snapshot of this perfect shoot to Instagram which I felt so incredibly lucky to capture Paris and Luke’s journey of waiting to welcome their first child.
Getting to show up for people during these special moments and capturing the natural light before everything changes is something I never take for granted. Welcome to the world Wren, you were so worth the wait.
This season goes fast and deserves to be remembered. If you are expecting and this resonates with you, I’d love to do the same for you.
